My first design for the cover is on the left. I wanted something cartoonier, shown in the design on the right.

To draw the final designs in pen, I made a makeshift light studio by turning the lights off in my room and turning the touch screen off my bright laptop so my sketches can show through the final paper. This way, I was able to achieve a clean design in ink.
Here's a video showcasing my process of drawing the final draft of my zine. This process is kinda arduous, so I listened to the queen of poppin' music: Lizzo, to get through it. Her music pumps me up like no other, so I I made a lot of bolder, quicker choices in my design by listening to her.
The page shown on the right is what I ended up tracing. You're able to see it because of my fabulous roommate Joey who owns the apartment's scanner!
Thanks Joseph.
Finally, this is a digital zine, so here is my process in mixing the hand-drawn, scanned pages with the digital elements. I never used Photoshop before, so this is a sped video of me teaching myself as I go.
I was in a super mood that day since my friends were coming to visit, so I was jamming to "You Say Run" and feeling like a hero. Anything goes with that song...
